I have a question from a workbook I have, it asks:

A belt connects a pulley of 7-cm radius with a pulley of 12-cm radius. If the larger pulley turns through 5 radians, through how many radians will the smaller pulley turn?

I have no idea on how to solve it.

Hint: use the arc length formula.

Find the length of the belt moved by the large pulley--this will be the length moved by the smaller one. You can find the radians from that.
