Math Help - Bearing question.

    Bearing question.

    a motorbooat moves in direction N 40 degree E for 3 hrs at 20 mi/h. How far north and how far east does it travel ?
    Can you solve it just a example question. and can you please do it step by step need it today badly.. pleasse ?

    If it's travelled at 20 mph for 3 hours, that means it travelled 60 miles.

    I've included a picture. Note that 60 miles is the hypotenuse. You should be able to find the Opposite (how far east) and the Adjacent (how far north) sides.
