    sinusoidal functions

    How to determine the phase shift of a sine function that has an amplitude of 3, period of pi, vertical translation 1 up, and pass through the point ( pi/3, 1)? Please help, thanks.

    You have y=3 \sin 2(x-b)+1

    sub \left(\frac{\pi}{3},1 \right) to find b
