    Post Find Height

    A building casts a shadow 23 ft. long when the angle of elevation of the sun is 52 degrees. Use this table... Trigonometric Ratios Table to find the height of the building correct to the nearest integer. Please explain. Thanks a mil!

    Hopefully the 23Ft is the bottom side.

    This means you have the side Adj and you are finding the height (Opp).
    Tan = Opp/Adj
    Tan 52 = Opp/ 23
    Opp = Tan 52 * 23
    Opp = 29Ft to nearest integer.

    If the other side is the 23Ft just do the same thing using Sin intead of Tan.
