    trigo function

    y=2sinx

    what is the effect of 2 in the equation above?
    someone pls help me with this..

    The two doubles the amplitude of the graph. This means that your range is now -2 \leq x \leq 2

    It also means that your graph goes from -2 to +2 in the same "space" (which is \pi in this case)

    Edit: More generally A\sin(x) will have a range of -A \leq x \leq A and will go from -A to A in \pi radians.


    See the attached graph for how this would look, green is 2sin(x) and blue is sin(x) for comparison
