1. ## [SOLVED] w= θ/t

it's..

w = θ/t
wt = (θ/t)t
wt = θ
wt/w = θ/w
t = θ/w

why isn't it...

w= θ/t
(w=θ/t) x 1/θ
w/θ = 1/t
(w/θ= 1/t) x t
t x w/θ = 1
t = 1/ (w/θ)
that's what i calculated........... can someone tell me what i did wrong?
i know the top one is right.. i just tried to do it a different way and it just went horribly wrong.

Dear somanyquestions,

You have done nothing wrong.

$\displaystyle t=\frac{\theta}{w}=\frac{1}{\frac{w}{\theta}}$

Since, $\displaystyle \frac{1}{\frac{w}{\theta}}=1\div{\frac{w}{\theta}} =1\times{\frac{\theta}{w}}=\frac{\theta}{w}$

3. so for this problem..
t would be 9 min

plugging it in each way..

t = θ/w
would be 3π/8 x 24/π = 9

t = 1/ (w/θ)
would be.. 1/(π/24 x 8/3π) = 1/(1/9) = 9

holy moly thanks i feel stupid.

Dear somanyquestions,

I also do feel stupid sometimes.(specially when I get low marks for exams) But you must always be determined to try and try even if you don't succeed.
