    Post Proving Trig Identities

    Help proving these identities


    1.) tanX - tanY/1+tanX = cotY - cotX/cotXcotY+1<br /> <br />
2.) sin 5X + Sin 3X/sin 5X - sin 3X = tan 4X/tanX

    redid your latex hope this is what you are asking;

    \tan{x}-\frac{\tan{y}}{1+\tan{x}} = \cot{y} - \frac{\cot{x}}{\cot{y}+1}

    \sin{5x}+\frac{\sin{3x}}{\sin{5x}}-\sin{3x}=\frac{tan4x}{\tan{x}}
