You have the $\displaystyle 9$ in the wrong place. $\displaystyle 9\sin^{-1}(x) = 3\pi$ $\displaystyle \Rightarrow \sin^{-1}(x) = \frac{3\pi}{9}=\frac{\pi}3$ $\displaystyle \Rightarrow x = \sin\left(\frac{\pi}3\right)=\frac{\sqrt3}{2}$ Grandad
