    Simple trig question

    Hi there,

    Why does \sqrt{3}\ sin\ x=cos\ x imply that \sqrt{3}\ tan\ x=1 ?

    because \sqrt{3}\frac{\sin{x}}{\cos{x}}=1 (dividing both sides boy \cos{x})....... and you know that \frac{\sin{x}}{\cos{x}}=\tan{x}
