Why does $\displaystyle \sqrt{3}\ sin\ x=cos\ x$ imply that $\displaystyle \sqrt{3}\ tan\ x=1$ ?

because $\displaystyle \sqrt{3}\frac{\sin{x}}{\cos{x}}=1$ (dividing both sides boy $\displaystyle \cos{x}$)....... and you know that $\displaystyle \frac{\sin{x}}{\cos{x}}=\tan{x}$
