Thread: Steps for solving/proving trig identities

I am currently working on trig identites in class, and i am having trouble manipulating them i can work my way through most of a problem but get stuck. my queston, is there any general steps to take when proving idntities/general tips.

Trial and error is your best friend here. Just keep at it. Also remember some identities can be proven more than one way.
