    Solving Trig Equation

    I usually post my questions in advance, but this weekend I got busy, so sorry for the rush.

    Solve for x:

    3tan^2(x) - 1 = 0

    Hello, Mr_Green!

    Solve for x: .3·tanČ(x) - 1 .= .0

    We have: .3·tanČ(x) .= .1

    . . .Then:. . .tanČ(x) .= .1/3
    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ._
    . .Hence: . . . tan(x) .= .±1/√3


    Therefore: .x .= .±π/6, ±5π/6.
