    Phytag and trignom questions_help!!

my teacher has told em to create 8 questions, which i have, but i need some one to test the question, please answer it right cos my teacher is really strict and she''ll think i made it up,if possible can you show the working out, for the same reason, she'll think i cheated, thanks! and if i do get bad results shell ring my mum, she did before when i got one out of eighteen.

question one: how long is the diagnol of a square with the side of 10 metres?

question 2:a ship from a port to a lighthouse steams 8km east and 6km north. how far is the lighthouse from the port?

question 3: An 8 metre ladder is put up against a wall.
A): how far up the wall will it reach when the foot of the ladder is 1 metre away from the wall?
B): when it reaches 7 metres up the wall, how far is the ladder away from the wall?

question 4: how long is the line that joins the two points A(1.3) and B (2.2)

question 5: a rectangle is 4 cm long. the length of its diagnol is 5cm. what is the area of the rectangle?

question 6: how long is the line that joins the two points A(-3,-7) and B(4,6)

the diagram shows a voyagr from A to postion B the boat sailes due east from A for 27 km to position C. the boat then changes course and sails for 30 km to positon B. on a map, the distance betwenn A and C is 10.8 cm.
    A) work out the scale of the map.
    B) calculate the distance, in km, of B from A

Let me get this straight. You have been asked to create 8 questions and you have. But you don't know how to answer them. This strikes me as odd. If you need to check your questions to see if they work, ask some classmates. MHF does not provide detailed solutions to a pile of questions, whatever the reason.

Also, there are too many questions here for one thread. Please don't post more than three questions in a thread. Otherwise the thread can get convoluted and difficult to follow. Start new threads as necessary for remaining questions. eg. If you have five questions, post three of them in one thread and start a new thread for the remaining two etc.

And if the question has more than two parts to it, it is best to post only that question and its parts in the thread and start a new thread for other questions.

    Thread closed.
