It factors to $\displaystyle (\csc^2x+\cot^2x)({\color{blue}\csc^2x-\cot^2x})=({\color{red}\csc^2x}+\cot^2x)({\color{b lue}1})={\color{red}\cot^2x+1}+\cot^2x$ $\displaystyle =2\cot^2x+1$ Does this make sense?
