1. ## Some Trig problems!

Well basically the questions are

A hawk is on top of a tree looking down at a mouse with the angle of depression at 63 degrees. 20 feet below the hawk, an owl is looking at a mouse with an angle of depression at 48 degrees. What is the height of the tree?

And then

y=xsquared tan x is the function positive, negative, or neither?

If you can point out how to do both questions step by step, it'll be appreciated! Thanks for helping!

let x = horizontal distance from the tree to the mouse

$\tan(63) = \frac{h}{x}$

$\tan(48) = \frac{h-20}{x}$

solve the system for h

And then

y=xsquared tan x is the function positive, negative, or neither?

you sure you don't mean odd, even, or neither?
...

3. haha sorry and thanks for answering! I meant odd, even or neither!
