[SOLVED] Transformation of graph question.

I am supposed to figure out which each of the variables in:

y = **A** sin[**B**(x-**c**)] + **D** and

y = **A** cos[**B**(x-**c**)] + **D**

I am supposed to figure out what effect the variables have on the equation.

I was told there is a slight difference in the effect on cos and sin. I have been graphing things on the calc but having hard time figuring it out.

Variables affect sin and cos

The best way to see this is to use a graphing calculator and change the values.

A will affect the amplitude of the wave.

B will affect the frequency of the wave.

C will shift the wave horizontally

D will shift the wave vertically.

Experiment with it and you will see what I mean.
