The pH values of 10 samples of soil taken from a piece of land are shown below

6.0 , 4.5 , 5.7 , 5.8 , 6.1 , 7.3 , 4.8 , 5.6 , 5.8 , 4.3

Find the percentage of the sample of soil which has pH value between the mean and the median .

Oh i know how to look for the mean and median . After i got these 2 values , what should i do ?

Count how many data values lie between them and convert that into a percentage of the total data.

Alright , thanks . Am i right ?

Median=5.75 and mean = 5.59

so there are 2 values between 5.59 and 5.75

Thus , percentage = 2/10x100 =20%
