    First-Year Statistics Textbook

    Hello everyone,

Could anyone please recommend a good, concise, enjoyable textbook for a general first-year statistics course? I am planning to use this textbook to self-study stats before university next year.

I took AP Calculus AB this past academic year and am comfortable with algebra and trig.

    Thank you!

Even though you're comfy with trig and algebra, it's good to start with the intro because stat is a horse of a different color. understanding fundamental concepts is important and not to be taken lightly.

I recommend Moore's Introduction to the Practice of Statistics (third edition). It's a popular choice for AP Statistics in high school, and the author has a different text that's used widely in colleges.
