[SOLVED] Find the probability. (Is my answer correct)
A bag contains 6 cherry, 3 orange, and 2 lemon candies. You reach in and take 3 pieces of candy at random. Find the probability that you have all orange candies. Find the probability that you have all orange candies.

I got 0.00606061 which is the decimal fo 6/990.

I did it by multiplying 3*2*1=6
And then 11*10*9=990

And then I divided 6 by 990 which gave me that decimal .. Rounded it off to 0.0061

Is this correct? (Wondering) Or is there something wrong in my process.

Thanks. :)

LOL. Thanks. I sometimes make something easy seem difficult... but what matters is that I get the process... right :)

I think the result is 1/11P3 = 1/165.
one way to take 3 pieces of orange candies; and 11P3 ways to take 3 pieces of candy.

I think that is $\frac{6}{990}$ simplified. Whichever way you did it seems easier than my way. Lol. If you can explain the shorter way... you're welcome to. (Clapping)
