[SOLVED] Find the probability of a family with 5 children...

    Find the probablity.

A family has 5 children. The probability of having a girl is 1/2 (assumed). What is the probability of having 2 girls followed by 3 boys.

I think I need to use a tree diagram, but is there a different way of doing it? Like a formula? P(E_{2}|E_{1}) << something like that? But where would I put all the numbers?

There are just 32 ways, 2^5, to have five children.
    GGBBB is one of them.
    So what is the answer?

Is there any other way for two girls to be followed by three boys?
