    investment probability

an investor holds three different investments,an analyst predicts the probability of profit increases for each company

    A: 70%
    B: 50%
    C: 65%

if the analysts predictions are true, what is the probability that all 3 show profit increase?what is the probability that only one would increase?

    Hi dan,

    P(\text{all 3 profit increases})=(0.70)(0.50)(0.65)

    P(\text{only 1 would increase})=(0.70)(0.50)(0.35)+(0.30)(0.50)(0.35)+( 0.30)(0.50)(0.65)
