    Probability & binomail distrubution

    Gerry Infield has a batting average of .326. What is the probability that he will have 2 hits in his next 5 times at bat? Give your answer correct to 3 decimal places. (3marks)

    If someone could just point me in the right direction to start this problem, i would be very thankful!

    yes, it is binomial (sometimes refered to as the method of Bernoulli trials). see post #2 here or post #34 here

    here you have n = 5, k = 2, and p = 0.326

    assuming the batting average is the probability of him hitting the ball... i don't know anything about baseball
