Ven Diagrams and Sets
Given that the universal set S is the set of all the real numbers, illustrate the relationship between the following sets using a Venn diagram(4marks)

A= { x| set of all odd numbers}
B= { x| set of all even numbers}
C= { x| set of all positive numbers}
D= { x| set of all real numbers such that -4<x<4}

I started drawing the Venn diagram, and it just didn't seem right.thank you! (Happy)

Hi, I am stuck on this question too. I guess you are also an ILC student!!

a=-3,-1,0,1,3
b=-4,-2,0,2,4
c=1,2,3,4
d=-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4

I think this diagram would have 4 circles, except that they will not intersect, which is where I am confused. Unless d =S, which is the universal set... Or a, b, and c are all smaller circles within the big circle D...

then :
ab=0
bc=2,4
ac=1,3
abc= blank

and D would be all of it, so -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4

I went onto Tutor.com, but the tutor could not figure it out... but this seems to make the most sense to me.
