Probabilities
Suppose that f (x) = 1.5x2 for -1 < x < 1 and f (x) = 0 otherwise. Determine the following probabilities.
(a)P(0 < X)
(b)
P(0.5 < X)
(c)P(-0.5 ≤ X ≤ 0.5)
(d)
P(X<-2)
(e)P(X < 0 or X>-0.5)
(f) Determine x such that P(x < X) = 0.05.

Can you tell me how you got them? I have a TI 89 and it has built in functions too if that makes it easier to explain.

Also, just doing a) would probably enable me to finish the rest.

Thanks! It's urgent!!!

Can you caculate $P(0 < X) = \int\limits_{ 0}^1 {1.5x^2 dx}$?

Oh thanks, is that how you would do it? And yes, I can do that with my calculator quick and easy
