Note that in your case, instead of using $\displaystyle z_{0.05/2} = z_{0.025}= 1.96$ you need to use $\displaystyle z_{0.02/2} = z_{0.01} = \, ....$ where $\displaystyle \Pr(Z > z_{0.01}) = 0.01$.
