Thread: Real Life Expectation Problem.

My wife has decided to go to medical school and we are trying to decide which state to establish residency in in order to give her the best opportunity to get in. Please see the attached document which includes all of the info we have.

We will move to either FL or AL where she will be considered an instate applicant.

Assumptions:
1) Students who live in each state applied to all medical schools within that state.
2) Standards at all schools are equally stringent.

My wife and I are solving this problem differently (although coming to the same conclusion) and we'd like to know who's right!

Which state provides the greatest expectation?

Just to clarify, there are 4 schools in FL but I accidentally didnt list them all when I created the xls file.

The data is correct though.
