The following question was asked on a recent Praxis II exam:

A student wants to put in carpet in a room that measures 13 ft 3 in x 10 ft 5 in. What is the difference in actual area versus estimated area using least squares regression?

Is that the whole question as it makes no sense

that is a typical Praxis II oo61 math question

there is nothing to base an estimate on so how can you estimate it. Im guesing that there is a data set supllied which you have to use least squares regression and then using the fitted regression you would get a value for the specified length and width which you then compare to the actual area.
