1. ## [SOLVED] Simple Probability Help

If a dice is rolled three times, what is the probability of rolling a 3 at least once?

3. That would be the probability of rolling a 3 three times though, i'm looking for the probability of rolling at LEAST one 3.

4. It would be A(prime) = 1 - (1/6)^3
= 216/216 - 1/216
= 215/216

5. That's the probability of not rolling a 3 three times in a row.

Btw, the answer is supposed to be 91/216.

6. First, find the probability that no six occurs in 3 throws, which will be equal to $\displaystyle =(\frac{5}{6})(\frac{5}{6})(\frac{5}{6})=(\frac{5} {6})^3$
Therefore the probability that at least one six occurs will be
$\displaystyle =1-(\frac{5}{6})^3=\frac{91}{216}$

If a dice (it should be die) is rolled three times, what is the probability of rolling a 3 at least once?
If we roll a die three times the probability of no 3's is $\displaystyle \left({\frac{5}{6}}\right)^3$.

8. LOL, I forgot that dice is plural.

Thanks for the help though guys!
