Mean, Standard Deviation, and Hypothesis Testing
1. A new truss is designed to hold more than 5000 pounds. You test 10 trusses and obtain the following data: mean = 5100 pounds, sample standard deviation = 100 pounds. Does the new truss hold more than 5000 pounds? Use a significance level of 0.01. Use the 8 step Hypothesis method.

This is a standard hypothesis testing question. Can you try to start it? You should have covered a variety of different tests, like you can see here.

Well, I need a null hypothesis, right? But how do I do that?
