    [SOLVED] card deck probability

    -question: we randomly pull 2 cards out of a standard deck of 52, without replacement. what is the probability we pull a king first and then an ace?

    i came up with: 4 choose 2 divided by 52 choose 2 plus 4 choose 1 divided by 52 choose 1 for a reduced total of 18 over 221

    does this sound right?

    i'm terribly sorry i haven't figured out how to type these things out properly yet, i'm hoping to get help with it soon.

    Since there are 4 kings in the pack. Your first choice is 4/52 then since you dont replace it you only have 51 cards left so to choose an ace you have 4/51 then you multiply those 2 fractions together and that is your answer.
