QUESTION :for the distribution with density function

f(x,y)={1/8 (6-x-y) 0<x<2 2<y<4
0 elsewhere
Evaluate:
1) P(X<1,Y<3)
2) P(X+Y<3)
3) P(X<1 | Y<3)

QUESTION : for the distribution with density function

f(x,y)={1/4x (1+3y^2) 0≤x2 0<y<1
0 elsewhere
Evaluate:
1) P(1/4<X<1/2 | Y=1)
2) P(1/2<Y<3/4 | X=1)

No offence, but I don't spend time doing problems to provide answers to check against. I prefer to give help when someone is stuck and needs a push in the right direction.

If you have answers that you're not sure about, post the working you've done and the answer you get. It's easier (for me, anyway) to check method rather having to spend the time working each question through to a final answer.

If your method is correct then your answer probably will be too. And if it's not then you've made a careless mistake in the algebra or arithmetic - which can be pointed out if you show your working.
