1. ## Probability

This is a seemingly easy question, but it seems a tad bit obvious for the level it's at, which is why I'm asking for a second opinion.

The question, in its' shortest version essentially says
1 in 100 chickens is red according to the such and such farmers association.
what is the probability in a random sample of 5 chickens that at least 1 in 5 chickens is red?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reword the question. Genetics tells us that 1 in a 100 chickens is red.
We pick five chickens at random. What is the probability that at least one is red?
The probability that none is red equals $\displaystyle (.99)^5$.
So what is the probability that at least one is red? (Think complement).
