A number cube is rolled and a number card is drawn from cards numbered 1-14. Find the number of possible outcomes for the situation.

Since there are two actions going on, in order to determine the number of outcomes we can find the outcomes of each event individually and then multiply them.

rolling a cube: has 6 outcomes

picking a card 1-14: has 14 different outcomes

Multiplying these two outcomes will yield:

6*14 = 84 different outcomes.
