Hi!

I am wondering what is the expected return on earning an infinite sum of money which has an almost zero chance of occurrence - probability of, say, one in a trillion (but NOT zero). Will the expected return be still infinite?

Thanks

Pascal's Wager - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia makes interesting reading in context.

It would probably depend on the other outcomes ...... Pr(gaining infinite sum of money) = 1/10000000000, what if Pr(losing everything) = 999999999/10000000000 .....? What's the expected return .......?
