# Thread: Dataset from same distribution.

1. ## Dataset from same distribution.

1.What does it mean by points of same distribution?
2.Also i needed 2 data sets each consisting of something like 8 points each from same distribution and different distribution?

3.Are these from same distribution?

Dataset1:
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Dataset2:
2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16

Please let me know how?

4.Also data sets from same distributions like normal and some other distributions..

1. You get a series of random values of the same random variable.

2. Use technology to generate them. Perhaps the standard normal distribution and the uniform distribution.

3. You'd have to test this with a chosen distribution. Did you have a particular distribution in mind?

4. ?? What are you asking here??

Sounds to me like you have an assignment that you need to get clarification about from your instructor.

3. ## Data set from same distribution..

Thank you sir for your prompt reply.

1. The datasets should be from same distribution..the test is first to do it using one type of distribution like normal, then take some other datasets from another distribution and test..i need datasets with 4 points (x,y) each so as to test them as per requirements..

Kindly let me know some points lying on a particular distribution..

2. Please suggest me which technology to use and how..for standard normal distribution and the uniform distribution?

3. Normal Distribution may be..please show how to test for this method and perhaps for any other distribution..

4. Asking for some more datasets from some other distribution any will do..

answer is something like..Data set1: (1,2)(3,4)(5,6)(7,8)
Data set2: (4,2)(3,4)(1,6)(4,8)
these satisfy X distribution..
