Probability 1 card from deck 4 or 6??

Ok, here is my question. If one card is drawn from a deck (52 card), find the probability of getting a 4 or a 6. I would like to know how to set up the problem. The teacher gave formulas for AND, OR, Conditional. This seems to be an "or" formula ...P(a) + P(b)-P(a and b). Please help.

The probability of getting a 4 is 4/52. The probability of getting a 6 is 4/52

    4/52+4/52=8/52=2/13

note that here P(4 and 6) = 0, which is why galactus has two terms in his formula as opposed to three in yours
