A new reality show has a contestant choose a group of 6 of his/her best friends to go to a deserted island for a 1 week adventure. The contestant has 12 friends to pick a group of 6 from, how many different groups can he/she make?

it would be $\displaystyle \binom{12}{6}$ so we would have: $\displaystyle \frac{12!}{6!(12-6)!}=5544$
