I'm not sure I understand what these numbers you give are supposed to mean. You have a set of numbers titled "control" and another set of numbers titled "fertilizer". My first thought was that this was a series of tests where the "control" numbers give the yield without fertilizer and the "fertilizer" numbers the yield with fertilizer. But I would expect, in that case, that there would be the same number of "control" and "fertilizer" cases. But you have 7 "control" cases and only 5 "fertilizer" cases. And what does "the number of ways we could have seen results as unusual (or more unusual" mean?
