    Combination problem??

    A dinner combination contains exactly 1 appetizer, 1 main course, and 1 dessert. How many different dinner combinations are possible when choosing from 5 appetizers, 4 main courses, and 5 desserts...the answer is 100 but how??

    the answer is 5*4*5 = 100

    for each of the 5 appetizers we can choose 4 main courses and then for each of those 4 main courses we can choose 5 desserts
