    [SOLVED] maximum and minimums

    T_T help i have tried everything for this question

    A company manufactures items at $2 per item and sells then for $x per item. IF the number sold is 800/x^2 per month, find the value of x for which the company could expect to maximize itsmonthly profit.

    Profit = Amount of money made by selling n items per month - cost of making n items per month.

    You're given that n = 800/x^2. Therefore:

    P = x \left( \frac{800}{x^2}\right) - 2 \left( \frac{800}{x^2}\right) =  \frac{800}{x} - \frac{1600}{x^2}.

    Now find the maximum of P in the usual way.
