Math Help - percentage of objects in range of one sd from the mean of DISRETE data

    percentage of objects in range of one sd from the mean of DISRETE data

    since the data is discrete, then how can I determine IMG_20140623_092822[1].jpg? can anybody help please?percentage of objects in range of one sd from the mean of DISRETE data-img_20140623_091635-1-.jpg

    your method of finding the interval is correct.. although your interval is slightly off. it should be, (1.059, 3.407). anyway the slight difference in your interval doesn't stop you from finding the same answer. the discrete values that you want that falls in this interval is 2, 3. so take the frequency for 2 children + frequency for 3 children, over the total frequency, times 100, to get your percentage

    why frequency of x=1 is not considered?

    This is discrete. There exists no values between whole numbers. So even though it starts from 1.059, there is no data between 1.059 and 2, u just take those for 2 and 3
