    Talking Help with Stat Questions

I literally have no idea how to attempt these questions and im just looking for help cause my uni doesnt have very good assistance when it comes to homework help.

Recent research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has
examined whether judges make different decisions regarding whether or not to grant
parole just after a break compared to a long time after a break. Suppose the
researchers gathered data on 150 rulings from first thing in the morning and 110
rulings from just before the end of the day. You can assume random ordering of
parole cases throughout the day (in other words, parole cases for more serious
offences are equally likely to appear in the first thing in the morning or late in the
day). Of the early morning cases 96 were granted parole, of the cases considered just
before the end of the day 22 were granted parole.

    a) Calculate a two-sided 95% confidence interval for the difference between the
proportions of those grated parole first thing in the morning (F) and those granted
parole late in the day (L). Interpret the results.

    c) Suppose now that the judges will not be concerned by the findings provided the
difference in the proportions is no more than 50%. Write down appropriate null and
    alternative hypotheses for this problem.
Note: you do not have to carry out the hypothesis test.

Im not too sure if I am allowed to ask these questions as im relatively new to the forum and just read the rules briefly. But please help someone im really struggling here
