Probability of received calls

Hi!

I am not very good at probability. Maybe because I was not able to attend some lessons.

The topics that was covered in those lessons was *The full probability and Bayes formula* and *independent repeated attempts.*

Taxi Park receives an average of 36 calls every hour. What is the probability that:

a) In the next 10 minutes 4 calls will be received

b) In the next 40 minutes there will be no more than 24 calls received

Re: Probability of received calls

The number of received calls is a homogeneous Poisson process with parameter λ = 36 calls/hour.
