    Question The standard normal distribution

    I need help with the final step...

    X~N(25,81)

    Solve for:
    P(24<X<43)

    P(24<X<43) = P(24-25)/√81<(X-25)/9<(43-25)/9
    P=(-1/9<Z<2) =ϕ(0,11) - ϕ2 = ???

    I would be grateful if anyone could help me!

    Thanks!

    Re: The standard normal distribution

    Hey emme1.

    Hint: P(-1/9 < Z < 2) = P(Z < 2) - P(Z < -1/9) where you can find these probabilities with either a computer or with statistical tables.

    Have you done this before?
