can someone kindly help!!!
Will appreciate help..
1. A town’s planning department surveyed residents of a town about home ownership. The table shows the results of the survey.
| Residents | At Address Less Than 2 Years | At Address More Than 2 Years | Total for Category |
| Owners | 2000 | 8000 | 10 000 |
| Renters | 4500 | 1500 | 6000 |
| Total | 6500 | 9500 | 16 000 |
Determine the following probabilities:
a) The resident owns the home.
b) The resident rents and has lived at the present address less than two years.
c) The homeowner has lived at present address more than two years.
Re: can someone kindly help!!!
There are 10000 people who own their own home.
4500 people "rent and have lived at the present address less than two years".
8000 people "own and have lived at the present address more than two years".
All of this is out of a total of 16000 people.
Do you know how to calculate probabilities?
