Anyways, there are 36 total possible outcomes for rolling two six-sided dice (1/6 * 1/6). You can get a total of 5 from the two dice by having (1,4), (2,3), (3,2), (4,1). So you have 4 ways out of 36 of rolling a total of 5.
For 6, follow the same steps. Your possible outcomes are (1,5), (2,4), (3,3), (4,2) and (5,1) so you have 5 total ways. Then, you simply divide the number of number of ways to score a 6 by the total number of possible outcomes. In this case, divide 5 by 36 to get the probability of getting a score of 6.
