I get 87.4...on my TI-89 I entered:
100+(-.84*15) [ENTER]
87.4 (result)

Are you getting a syntax error? You may be using the minus key instead of the negate key in front of the .84.
Yes, I am getting syntax error. What do I need to do to remove it? Or use the negate key. I have never used a calculator like this, so I am not familiar with it, sorry (Doh).Quote:

Use the negate key...on my TI-89 it is to the left of the enter key, and is marked with (-). You use this to negate a number, whereas the minus key is used for subtraction. Try this and let me know if this works.
