Thread: Simple %age Question - Am I correct

I came across a question which is:

A man saved $2400 or 37.5% of his daily salary.What was his daily salary.

Now the book states the answer is 64 but I got 6400. Could this be a typo in the book.
My method for getting the answer was

(37.5/100).x=2400
so x=6,400

Ay suggestions?
