    Hello, alexgintom!

    Find the probability of selecting three of the vowels a, e, i, o, u out of the alphabet
    when three letters are selected at random.

    I will assume the selections are made without replacement.

    There are: . _{26}C_3 \:=\:{26\choose3} \:=\:2600 possible outcomes.

    There are: . _5C_3 \:=\:{5\choose3} \:=\:10 ways to get 3 vowels.

    Therefore: . P(\text{3 vowels}) \:=\:\frac{10}{2600} \:=\:\frac{1}{260}
    Thanks from alexgintom
