well i am analysing the results of a questionnaire i did. one of my questions is

on a sale of 1 to 10 how badly does over fishing effect you

    the results are
    scaleamount answered
    1 0
    2 1
    3 3
    4 6
    5 2
    6 1
    7 0
    8 1
    9 0
    10 0

i am unsure if i count the 0s in this case for my average without them i get an average of 4.2. i know this is simple and iv done it previously but my mind has drawn a complete blank

4.2 looks good. You could just find the mean of the numbers you had before you put then in the table.
