# Thread: Fundamental Counting principle problem

1. ## Fundamental Counting principle problem

In Europe, license plates are made up of 3 letters followed by 3 digits.

What is the probability that you will receive a license plate with at least one letter repeated?

I found the total number of outcomes 26x26x26x10x10x10 = 17 576 000

26x1x26x10x10x10?

No clue.

Recall that at least one is the opposite on none.
How many plates have no repeated letters?
